Dream To be a Policewoman

Laurinda is a twin. Her sister is named Laura. They have three older sisters who live in the childrens centre, the Village of Love. The five girls are complete orphans.Laura and Laurinda live with a very poor village woman who has cared for them since the death of their last surviving family member before they were a year old. Our Village Project has provided all their food and medical care since the beginning of 2007.The mud and grass hut the family (including a teen-age daughter of their care-giver) were living in recently collapsed in the rain, so they are now living in temporary housing in a distant part of the village. Nonetheless, the family continues to walk to Sunday worship at the local church. During a recent testimony time, their care-giver publicly thanked the church for supporting the twins and acknowledged that without the churchs help the two girls would certainly not be alive today.
